Hey! Man this week went by so fast and it feels like we did sooo much! I only wish we could have stayed longer to help like everyone in the city that needs us! The kids were so loving, and we all felt so bad for leaving them... we were all pretty sad. We've been sleeping in slightly painful places, but its been worth it. Today was our last day and we got a little talking-to from Tate's dad about the separation of the city of Birmingham- the poor is one of the poorest in the country and the rich has 4-5 million dollar homes. We've helped quite a few animals too, and I guess that would be my thing to tell about. I rescued a couple baby birds! Also we got to hang out with a stray puppy and give him some water, but luckily he was one of the better taken care of strays in the city. Some of Birmingham feels a little like Chicago, except Chicago has a lot taller buildings. (Then again we have a lot taller buildings than a lot of the cities). Its been really hot every day, and it rained for a few minutes ONCE. We have had an awesome experience learning about the way they live, and all under the same God. My hope is that all of us have taken another step closer to Him, because we have seen how close these people can be even in the harsh living conditions. By the way, there are a million cockroaches, and one was on Allison's pillow when she wasn't around but don't tell her!!!!
See you Sunday!!!
